My name is Lindsey Sample, I'm from Des Moines, Iowa and I've been doing props since about 2005. I have been involved in theatre since I was a freshman in High School, but when I first did props for a show my Junior year…I was hooked. After High School, I received my BA in Theatre from the University of Northern Iowa, where I emphasized in Design & Production. After a short soul searching break, I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where as of May 2017, I received my MFA in Props Design and Management. If I haven’t made it obvious enough yet…I like props. But, it’s not just liking props, I love to MAKE props. Making is in my blood. My family doesn’t necessarily consider themselves makers, but they truly are. And if there’s anything that I love more than making props, it’s my family. But, of course if you’ve made it this far into my portfolio, you also know I’ve got a nerd streak a mile wide. I try very hard to make great product, to be kind, respectful, industrious, and admittedly maybe a bit sarcastic and sassy (but in a fun way).
